Yoga is an ideal form of exercise and can help you to relax and enjoy your pregnancy.
The Iyengar method is unique in that it uses a variety of yoga props to assist students so that mother and baby obtain the maximum benefit from postures without strain.
You will find that both the physical postures (asanas) and the breathing exercises (Pranayama) are ideal mind/body preparations for the birth.
Asanas will help
abdominal and pelvic muscles return to t heir former shape and condition. They
will also strengthen the entire body, and specifically the nervous system.
We hope to start a pre-natal class in 2012. Existing students at the Centre may continue in their normal class until they are in their third trimester when they can attend the Remedial class.
Judi Sweeting is a senior teacher with over 35 years experience of teaching and Maggie Waters is a junior teacher with over 20 years of experience. Both have children and grandchildren!
